For Your Profession

Why Head Trash Clearance Is a Good Fit for Yoga and Pilates Teachers

Method developed and refined since 2010, across 1,000+ clearance sessions. Training practitioners internationally.

A pilates teacher spoke to me recently about doing Head Trash Clearance training. She wanted it so she could support her kids. She hadn’t considered that it might be a great investment for her business too, and I see this a lot with yoga and pilates teachers weighing up the training.

Training in Head Trash Clearance can be exactly that for pilates and yoga teachers, as well as something that helps personally.

So let me break it down.

Earn More With Your Classes

Incorporating Head Trash Clearance into your yoga or pilates teaching business can help you generate more revenue.

How you do that depends on your personal style, the focus of your work, your current clients, the opportunities in your community and what you’re already doing in the digital space.

If you run a yoga or pilates membership, or provide online classes, this is a natural next step.

I’ll share some of the ways you can do this, but first I’d like to explain why combining Head Trash Clearance with a yoga or pilates practice makes sense.

The Benefits of Attending Pilates and Yoga Classes

When people sign up for pilates or yoga classes, they aren’t just looking for a fitness class. They’re also after the other benefits that come with the practice:

  • improved balance, both internal and physical
  • something to help them feel more grounded and calm
  • more flexibility (physical and internal)
  • more resilience (physical and internal)
  • inner peace

But that’s not all.

Community

Some of the best yoga teachers I’ve known create a strong sense of community around their classes. Friendships form that extend beyond the classes, and people end up making valuable connections.

This helps people feel supported in more ways than just the exercise.

Self-care

Great yoga and pilates classes are a brilliant form of self-care. Choosing to take time out of your day and dedicate it to your own health and wellbeing is a powerful message to yourself about putting yourself first.

Mind-body connection

People who are drawn to yoga and pilates already understand that mind and body are connected. When we’re feeling down mentally or emotionally, movement makes a real difference. In fact, many people come to pilates and yoga classes precisely to feel better mentally and emotionally.

Given this, adding mental and emotional support to your classes, and to your community, is a natural next step.

What Could Head Trash Clearance Look Like for Yoga and Pilates Teachers?

Head Trash Clearance is a flexible technique that works just as well in a group setting as it does in private one-to-one work. It also works in digital formats, which means your support isn’t limited to the people in the room. You can use it in many ways, offering different levels of support depending on what’s appropriate.

I’ve run many group clearance sessions, in person and online, and it’s a great way to give lots of people access to powerful healing experiences at once. It also opens up healing to people who might otherwise be priced out of 1:1 work.

Because it’s flexible, you can incorporate the aspects that suit you and your personal style, as well as what will work best for your clients.

Here are some ideas as to how that could work.

The Perfect Ending for a Class

A Head Trash Clearance group session can be a perfect ending for a pilates or yoga class.

You could finish each class with a deep healing session. The clearance experience is often very relaxing and calming, so it makes a lovely close. Many people report sleeping better after their clearances, which is a nice thing to offer your class attendees.

  • You might focus on certain aspects in the class and provide a clearance session at the end that supports the theme of the yoga or pilates class.
  • Attendees could be asked what they’re struggling with at the start of the class, and a relevant clearance or healing offered at the end.
  • A theme could be communicated ahead of time, or shaped by whatever’s going on in people’s lives.
  • When classes are for specific groups, like pregnancy or new mums, clearance and healing sessions can support them on that path, making the classes for mind AND body.

This is a light way of introducing Head Trash Clearance to your current set-up. Your class attendees get a taste of it, which can whet their appetite for other experiences you offer.

Specific Mind-Body Programmes

You could run specific mind and body programmes that blend the mindset work with the physical or fitness aspect, giving the mental, emotional and body aspects equal focus.

Programmes like this are ideal for people looking for support around things like pregnancy, losing weight, post-natal recovery or de-stressing.

And because attendees are accessing a deeper level of support than a regular pilates or yoga class, a higher price can be charged, which means more revenue for your business.

This works equally well in person or online.

Help Your Clients Go Deeper in Their Practice With You

You can create additional group sessions for any class attendees who’d like to go deeper. In these sessions, much more of the class time is spent doing group clearance.

This inner work could be around helping them improve their flexibility in the movements of the class: removing internal resistance or blocks that stop them fully letting go or expanding.

Our body reflects what’s going on in our minds, and we carry trapped emotions in our body. You can help your clients release the physical and emotional blocks that are hindering their yoga or pilates practice.

Create New Experiences for Your Current Clients

Pilates and yoga teachers can offer separate group clearance experiences, which open up additional revenue possibilities. It’s also a great way to stand out from other yoga and pilates teachers.

You’re well placed to offer these. The relationship is already established and you know your tribe, which makes it easy to identify the themes they’d benefit from getting support with.

For example, say you offer pregnancy yoga. You could add emotional support sessions to help attendees clear the common fears they may be experiencing. Or if you offer post-natal or post-op recovery classes, you can provide sessions that help them cope better with the changes they’re going through.

Earn More by Offering One-to-One Sessions

Once the class has experienced the group sessions, certain individuals may want one-to-one support.

One-to-one sessions don’t need room hire and can be done online, which means you can earn extra money without incurring additional costs.

Create Audio Tracks

Many pilates and yoga teachers create videos for their community, and some run online programmes or memberships. If you’re already creating video content, adding audio tracks will come easily.

But you don’t need online programmes or memberships to create audio tracks.

Head Trash Clearance works brilliantly as recorded audio, so tracks can be created for specific classes or groups of people to use at home.

This is great for a few reasons:

  • no extra time at the end of classes for you, just the up-front time to record the track
  • you could simply sell bundles of audio clearances with class sign-ups
  • listening to your voice outside of the class strengthens the connection they have with you
  • you’re supporting them in complementary ways outside of the class
  • perfect for pregnancy, new mama or weight loss groups
  • ideal to add to memberships where you’re already sharing workout videos and related content

Those are the professional reasons why Head Trash Clearance is a strong fit for yoga and pilates teachers. And I haven’t even got to the personal reasons.

So let’s cover those too.

How Training Will Help You Personally

The Head Trash Clearance training places you at the centre. We don’t just impart the technique and teach you how to use it. Before any of that, we focus on you. The best practitioners are those who understand the technique deeply, and it’s difficult to do that if you haven’t experienced it for yourself.

How can you help someone else walk a path that you haven’t walked? And how can you help someone else achieve personal change when you haven’t wrestled with that change in yourself?

You Experience Significant Healing As Part of the Training

Head Trash Clearance training is in three parts, and the first part is you.

During this part of the training, you undertake your own personal clearance under my guidance. You need to complete a minimum amount of personal clearance work before you can continue on the course.

This means you undertake a significant amount of personal healing in a very short space of time. Many people find this transformational and tell us how they’ve ditched their anxiety or noisy chatterbox heads in that time.

This personal work can create a ripple effect throughout your life as you become a calmer, more confident you. And because HTC is self-led, the tool doesn’t stop working when the course ends: it becomes part of how you look after yourself. The shift you experience also gives you real stories to share with your tribe. Everyone loves a good transformation story, and you’ll have plenty of your own.

Support Your Family

I’ve been using Head Trash Clearance with my kids since they were around three years old. The first fears I helped them with were monsters under the bed, dinosaurs and spiders. It’s remarkable how quickly they take to it. Over time, they start to see what we’re doing and can do their own clearances, but they always prefer it when mummy does it.

Now that my eldest is in high school, we use it in ways that help her be more confident and less stressed about things at school.

You Will Always Have a Powerful Self-Healing Tool at Your Fingertips

Once you’re trained in Head Trash Clearance, you can use it on all of your personal triggers, stresses, fears and anxieties. The more personal clearance you do, the more transformation you experience. You activate your own sense of inner power and can bring about the personal changes you’ve always sought.

You become your very own Head Trash Coach.
